TEACHERS-AT-SEA PROGRAMS

School of Rock
A pilot program launched by USIO to provide American teachers with experience on a
research drilling vessel, and primarily to:

		Increase their knowledge of IODP and scientific methods conducted during actual ocean drilling expeditions;
		Increase their knowledge of specialized studies within geoscience;
		Develop a suite of teaching materials related to ocean drilling research; and
		Engage teachers in disseminating IODP science education.
