Thematic Review Committee Reports
IODP-MI chairs thematic review committees with members from the scientific community (nominated by SASEC). The reviews evaluate progress achieved in relation to major scientific themes and goals stated in the Initial Science Plan. Reviews are based on a number of expeditions that address a common theme, and normally emerge 1-2 years after the expeditions have been completed. Reviews also provide brief comments on planned activities in order to assess how certain themes and program goals eventually might be achieved. The reports are posted here in their full extent. The theme of Climate Variability was reviewed in 2007. The theme, Oceanic Crustal Structure and Formation, will be reviewed in 2008.
