The Proposal Database System (PDB) is the web-based interface for completing and submitting IODP proposals. For details, please see the submission guidelines. IODP is transitioning to a new version of PDB; for the current proposal deadline, both the old and the new versions are available. The old version has a user manual; the new version provides guidance through help buttons, and does not have a stand-alone user manual.

The Site Survey Data Bank (SSDB) is the system through which data supporting the IODP proposals, such as seismic profiles, are submitted. After submitting a proposal, you will be contacted when your proposal and sites have been loaded into SSDB. You will then have until the deadline to complete your data submissions. Because of an accelerated panel review schedule, proposals with any data files uploaded after the deadline will be reviewed only at the discretion of the SSO.
